Our outpatient therapy clinic, located on the ground floor of Park Plaza Senior Living, offers expert, personalized, one-on-one care to both residents of Park Plaza Senior Living and to community members at large. We successfully treat a broad range of diagnoses while providing personalized, hands-on treatment in a friendly, dignified environment.
Conditions we treat
Physical therapy
Our physical therapists treat conditions such as:
- Arthritis and spinal stenosis
- Difficulties with balance and gait
- Generalized weakness
- Vertigo
- Post-orthopedic surgery (e.g., post-knee and hip replacement, arthroscopy rehab)
- Neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis
They can also recommend the optimal assistive device, such as a cane or walker, that will best meet a patient’s needs.
Occupational therapy
Our occupational therapists specialize in restoring arm, wrist, and hand movement, strength, and function. They also provide education on adaptations, compensatory techniques, and environmental modifications, helping patients achieve a greater level of independence in their daily activities.
Speech therapy
Our speech therapists work on swallowing concerns to improve the quality and safety of a person’s swallow, and on cognitive concerns by addressing and providing strategies to improve word finding, short-term memory, long-term memory, and organizational thinking.
Outpatient clinic open to the community
You don’t have to live at Park Plaza Senior Living to use our therapy services. The outpatient clinic on the ground floor of our building is open to community members across Chicago – a convenient option for seniors and adults across the North Side who want one-on-one, evidence-based care close to home.
