Park Plaza Senior Living is designed with Jewish seniors in mind. We make it easy for residents to live an active Jewish life and to remain connected to a vibrant, cultural community right inside their home. From daily minyanim to grand holiday celebrations, Jewish life is the steady heartbeat of our Chicago retirement community.
A community built around Jewish life
From the moment you arrive, the rhythms of the Jewish calendar shape daily life at Park Plaza Senior Living – Shabbat candles on Friday afternoons, songs in the dining room, the smell of fresh challah, and a chance to share the holidays with neighbors who feel like family.
On-site synagogue & daily services
We boast a beautiful, expanded on-site synagogue with daily services to honor our residents’ religious customs and traditions. In addition to High Holiday services and weekly Shabbat and Havdalah celebrations, a full-time Rabbi is on site for personal prayer, services, and pastoral counsel.
Shabbat, holidays & family
Holidays are a special time at Park Plaza Senior Living, with music, decorations, dancing, and traditional foods. Residents’ families are warmly invited to join us – adding generations to every simcha, seder, and celebration.
Honoring Holocaust survivors
Our community includes a cherished group of Holocaust survivors, and we honor these heroic individuals every day and especially each spring. We hold Holocaust Remembrance programs and events in partnership with the Illinois and U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museums.
All levels of observance welcome
Whatever your level of Jewish observance, you will feel comfortable at Park Plaza Senior Living. Our environment respects tradition while opening its doors to every Jewish senior who wants to feel at home.
